This compliments an unprecedented $700-million investment over the next three years in an Aging at Home Strategy This investment will increase the overall range and quantity of services available to seniors and help relieve pressures in hospitals and long-term care (LTC) homes by supporting seniors to stay at home with dignity and independence.
These initiatives are part of the Ontario government’s plan for innovation in public health care, building a system that delivers on three priorities – keeping Ontarians healthy, reducing wait times and providing better access to doctors and nurses.
